W. K. To & Co. hosted a successful seminar "Buying property in Hong Kong – an overview on stamp duty and acquisition of company holding property" on 26 September 2019 at the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre with over 90 guests attended. Bill Chau (Partner, Head of Real Estate) and Henry Kwan (Senior Conveyancing Legal Executive) kicked off the seminar by presenting an overview on stamp duty for property transactions including both residential and non-residential property while Kenneth To (Partner, Head of Corporate and Commercial) focused his presentation on the acquisition of Hong Kong company holding landed property. The talk triggered an animated exchange of views and was followed by an entertaining interactive Q&A session. The feedback received was very positive and most of the attendees agreed the talk was practical and easy to understand with useful takeaway points.
