On 21 September 2019 (Saturday), a group of over 20 W. K. To & Co. volunteers joined a half-day home visit to the elderly, organized by Po Leung Kuk Lo Yau Yuk Sheung Neighborhood Elderly Centre situated in Yau Ma Tei. The centre mainly serves as a community day center for the elderly in the neighborhood, providing all kinds of daily support (including meals), education and entertainment activities to those over 50 years old.

After being briefed by the social worker at the center on the basic skills and issues to pay attention to during the visit, we were divided into 7 teams and set out to visit more than 20 households with elderly residents.  We brought our gift bags containing fruit, noodles, mooncake and lavender-scented packets plus our love and care, dropped by each household and had a nice chat and exchange with the elderly.  We all enjoyed this visit thoroughly and also the fellowship lunch afterward. To us, the elderly deserved every respect as they contributed a great deal in building up our society in their prime time. It was also a humbling experience to serve the seniors.
