W. K. To & Co. was pleased to host the Lawyers Associated Worldwide (LAW)‘s Asia Pacific Regional Meeting in Hong Kong 2018 from 22 – 24 March 2018 (Thurs – Sat) which took place at the Langham, Tsim Sha Tsui.
This annual regional meeting gathered over 40 delegates from more than 20 Asia-Pacific member firms in Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, India, China, Malaysia and Japan. Kathy Deutsch, Chair of LAW, kicked off the meeting with an opening speech. After that, Vincent To, W. K. To & Co.’s founder and senior partner, delivered a welcome address and shared his perspectives on key legal business issues within the region.
The meeting comprised a series of engaging business sessions discussing independent law firm practice management, featured prominent speakers from the in-house community and business consultancy firms to share their insights on industry trend, such as Patrick Dransfield (Co-director of In-House Community), Ashley Dudarenok (founder of Alarice) and Anna Kim (Senior Legal Consultant and Product Manager from Korum Legal). Highlighted topics include Blockchain, impact of Artificial Intelligence on the legal profession, and the importance of digital marketing for independent law firms.
The conference also provided opportunities for lawyers to network and interact with each other to share information about serving clients investing and operating in the Asia Pacific region.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank LAW for organizing this successful conference and also support from the delegates. We look forward to meeting LAW members again at the Annual General Meeting which is going to take place in Bangkok, Thailand later this year.
