W. K. To & Co. hosted a CPD seminar on "Introduction and Practical Tips on Mareva Injunction" for the members of the Association of Corporate Counsel Hong Kong (ACCHK) on 1 March 2018 (Thurs).
Andrew Olson, the Chair of the ACC Hong Kong Seminars Committee, kicked off the seminar by welcoming all attendees with a brief introduction of our speakers. Vivian Wong (Partner, Litigation and Dispute resolution), Kenny Chun (Consultant, Litigation and Dispute Resolution) and Ronald To (Senior Associate, Litigation and Dispute Resolution) discussed the legal principles for applying for Mareva Injunction, obligations owed by an applicant to the Court during the ex parte application and considered the consequences of breaching these obligations through case studies handled by the firm.
We received very positive feedback from the ACC members who found the seminar "clear", "detailed", "informative and useful", in particular the real-life examples provided attendees with a broad and pragmatic perspective of this procedure law.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank ACCHK and the participants for their support.
